Visit, tour and taste your way through the five acre certified organic food and programming garden at Carnation Farms. Learn about what we do to preserve and build soil, ecological and pollinator health. The garden showcases many sensory plants and heirloom vegetable varieties. Pick your own bouquet of fresh flowers (included in admission price)
Start the afternoon by setting up camp with shelter, fire-building, and becoming familiar with our surroundings. As dusk settles in we’ll begin our exploration of local nocturnal animals, testing our senses, and learning about the stars. Be prepared for wet and muddy trails. Short hikes <2 miles will be part of the fun!

Learn how to create handmade gifts for bath & body, and the kitchen! No experience necessary – whether you’re an expert “maker,” or a total beginner, you’ll have fun experiencing gift-making on the Farm
Home to bald eagles, osprey, red-tailed hawks, woodpeckers, ducks, geese, swans, swallows, chickadees, and more! Come out to Carnation Farms and explore birds on the pond, lake, river, and up in our trails. Hone your photography and bird identification skills, explore bird language, discover habits and habitats. This workshop is sure to be a favorite among bird enthusiasts. Plenty of easily foot accessible options including some rough single track trails. Route options vary in length from 0-3 miles.
This workshop will cover basics for beginning beekeepers. The workshop includes a hands-on hive inspection and also includes: choosing hive style and using basic equipment, when, what, how’s of hive inspection, how and when to spot the queen, common hive problems and solutions, swarms, when to add honey supers.
This family-friendly event will include an egg scavenger hunt, farm crafts, a farm to fork brunch, live music and more. Hosted at our historic Hippodrome, guests will learn more about upcoming activities and meet our staff while exploring the farm.
